Current Beauty Favourites- Part 1

As I haven't been as up to date with blogging recently, due to A levels taking over my life, I thought I would do a huge current beauty favourites post in two parts, to get right back into the swing of things. In part one I will be discussing my Make-up and Skincare favourites, with Haircare and Body products in part two. So without further ado, let's get started...

As the weather has been getting slightly warmer, and the sun has been making more frequent appearances, I thought it was time to ditch the heavy duty, matte bases and favour a more dewy and radiant finish. Despite it's lightweight feel on the skin, it gives great coverage, and will definitely continue to be my base of choice in the summer months.
To help with the luminous complexion that I have aiming to achieve recently, I have been reaching for this concealer pretty much every single day for the last couple of months. It brightens up the face completely, particularly the under-eye area, banishing those pesky dark circles that hours of revision seemed to bring to my face. It is the perfect concealer to add an instant "pick me up" to the face and I love it!
As mentioned before, my makeup never looks complete without a good ol' swipe of eyeliner, yet I haven't been able to find a kohl pencil that lasts pretty much all day. Until I discovered this offering from Rimmel that is. One quick stroke of this along my waterline and I'm good to go for the rest of the day. It has been my go to product for the last few months, and I predict it will stay in my makeup back for a little while longer still.
I received this in a set of three for Christmas last year, and have gotten so much wear out of it. It is the perfect nude colour, and is extremely glossy and shiny. It is quite sheer, but easily build able, and is great finishing touch to a daytime makeup look, but would be a perfect pair to a dramatic smoky eye in the evening. With it's easy glide on application, it has become a firm favourite of mine.
I purchased this a while back now, but have rediscovered it in the past couple of months, as I have been tending to prefer a more natural brow look. This is a great 2-in-1 product, with the dark end making it easy to get defined brows, whilst the highlighting end gives a subtle highlight to the brow bone.
 L'Oreal Paris True Match Blush-Rosewood
As i don't really own all that many blushes, I decided it was time to add another one to my collection. I was after a perfect spring/summer shade, and this is just that. It adds a beautiful rosy glow to the cheeks, and due to being quite sheer, prevents you looking like coco the clown whenever you wear it. With subtle shimmer, it adds luminosity to the cheeks, without making you look like a disco ball.

Soap & Glory Smooch Operator Lip Butter Balm
After finishing my beloved Burt's Bees lip balm, I moved on to this little pot of goodness. This is super moisturising, nourishing and softening the lips every time it is applied. While I don't prefer it to the Burt's Bees offering, I have been thoroughly enjoying using it these past few months.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Gel Cleanser
As I have never had completely clear skin, I have tried numerous products to try and achieve that healthy, glowing complexion, which I have yet failed to reach. Now don't get me wrong, my skin still is not yet perfect, however this cleanser has made a huge difference. I have been using this gentle, foaming cleanser morning and evening, and it has left my skin looking much clearer, without causing irritation. This is perfect for most skin types, yet formulated for oily and sensitive types, so if you are aiming for clearer skin, it is definitely worth trying this.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo
I purchased this sometime last year after becoming insecure with my skin, yet found it made pretty much no difference to my complexion. However, using it with the cleanser as mentioned above makes a much bigger impact on the skin. The two products paired together clear skin and banish imperfections, leaving a much smoother and blemish free complexion. Again, I use this as part of both my morning and evening skincare routine, and found that this works well for my skin. I seriously need to repurchase this as I am coming to the end, and it will definitely be staying in my routine for a while.

The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion
I spotted this in The Body Shop a couple of months ago and thought it sounded quite interesting. It exfoliates the skin, whilst also removing dead skin cells, improving the overall tone and texture of the skin. I have been using this once a week after cleansing, as it is slightly too harsh to use more than that, and whilst there has not been an immediate noticeable difference in my skin, my skin always feels softer and smoother after using it. I look forward to continue using this, as I feel it will make a big difference to the way my skin looks.

So there are my makeup and skincare favourites of the past few months. I will be back shortly with Part 2, and my hair and body favourites.
Have you used any of these products? What did you think?
