January Favourites

Welcome back to my blog everyone! First of all I must apologise for not doing a post sooner, but what with studying for four A Levels, time had been somewhat limited. However, I am back now and plan to do posts more frequently, so watch this space.
Anyway, back to the topic of today's post and that is my January favourites. All of the products I am mentioning today are new ones that I have recently purchased, and I have loved them throughout the month of January and am continuing to love them.

 Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

No matter how many foundations I have tried over the years, I have still not found the perfect one. However, I have to say that this one has come pretty close to perfect in my opinion. It is exactly what I look for in a foundation- medium to full coverage, as well as being suitable for my very dry skin. It isn't as glowy as the Rimmel Wake me up foundation, but isn't matte either. I wear this on a day to day basis as I find it very natural looking, and so I will definitely be repurchasing when I run out.

Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

This is a perfect little product as it contains two concealers- one for under eye and one to cover any blemishes- as well as a setting powder. Both of the concealers are very creamy and super easy to blend, as well as having very high coverage. Due to the creaminess of the concealers, they do need to be set well with powder, hence the reason why the product comes with a mini translucent powder. I am in love with this product and will no doubt be using it for a while.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner

Eyeliner is  one of my staple, "can't live without"  products and so I decided to try something more dramatic than a standard kohl pencil I thought having to apply eyeliner with a brush would be a lot more tricky than it actually was, and so because of the simplicity of the application, I have been wearing this quite frequently. It has a lot more staying power than a pencil and I tend to find it can last for 6-7 hours without smudging. It is going to take me ages to get through the little pot, but I will continue to use it throughout February as well as the coming months as well.

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Mascara

I have always loved the mascaras offered by maybelline, and this one is no different. As someone with quite long eyelashes, I always look for a mascara that gives volume, rather than length, and this one is perfect. It doesn't clump or dry out and makes any eye makeup look more dramatic.

Herbal Essences Fresh Balance Clarifying Shampoo

After searching the internet high and low for anything to help with my oily hair, the number one thing that was most suggested was a clarifying shampoo. I decided to try a relatively cheap one before purchasing a more expensive one, just to see how much they actually work. I use this shampoo about once every 2-3 weeks, and find it great for removing all the build up of product that has goes into my hair regularly.

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush- Pinched

I have been favouring dewy, glowy makeup lately, and this cream blush is perfect for adding a pretty hint of colour on the cheeks. It gives a beautiful flush of colour, and can easily be built up to add more colour. It is a perfect colour for paler skintones, and I will most definitely be using this in the lead up to spring.

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm- Elusive

After seeing countless beauty blogger's launch posts of this product, I was eager to try one out. Elusive is a medium pink colour that is really easy to wear in the day, but would be the perfect lip colour to pair with a smoky eye. Not doubt more of these will end up in my makeup bag within the next few months.

Vera Wang Bejewelled Perfume

I pretty much always receive a new perfume at Christmas time, and last year was no different. It is scented with redcurrants, pomegranate and champagne, and so it is a beautiful fruity yet luxurious perfume. This is the perfect perfume for transforming your look from day to night, and also to add some extra zing to any occasion.

Have you tried any of these products? What have you been loving lately?
